One of my favorite fairs during Art Basel is Design Miami. I typically attend the Vernissage on opening night, and I love to see what the new galleries that exhibit will bring. As this fair is industrial design oriented, meaning lots of furniture and for me getting ideas for what is trending that I could use on my future projects.
A little fact about me, is that I love furniture design and it was on my list of careers to choose, but opted for architecture. At some point I had a job designing wood furniture pieces, and also I collect mini-scale designer chairs which mostly I do not display.
I wanted to dress up for the occasion and opted for a navy blue skater dress with a black faux fur vest from Skaist Taylor, black tights and pumps and some oversized pearls bubbles.
