Tourist-ing in my home town

Sometimes I feel that I don’t go back home enough. I love my hometown but most of my family lives in Miami, so I only go back very little.  On my recent visit to Santo Domingo I was feeling a little nostalgic. I visited the Zona Colonial, this is the area where I went to fine art school and where I spent most of my time doing studies while in architecture school. This part of the city holds a special place in my heart, walking thru the narrow cobblestone roads, surrounded by the coral stone and brick old buildings with beautiful rustic doors, made me remember of a time where things where more simple.

For this outing I was wearing a comfy outfit perfect for the tropical climate, khaki short shorts, an embossed fabric crop top and slip-ons to walk around.
