Bloomingdale’s Aventura went pink!

Last week Bloomingdale’s Aventura hosted a Pink Party to launch the portraits of  30+ Miami Fashion Bloggers (myself included) for the Fashion for a Cause Campaign for breast cancer awareness, organized by Annie Vasquez from The Fashion Poet and  shot by Alexander Tamargo from @ALTAimages.

Some of the bloggers featured rocked the “I am life” t-shirt from Peace Love World styled with pieces from Bloomie’s and each one gave them their unique twist as they walked down the runway. Hair was done by the fab girls from SoBlo Aventura and refreshments where provided by Perrier, Bunniecakes and Pinkberry.

I also got the chance to meet and chat with Cancer Vixen Fund founder Marisa Acocella Marchetto. This lady is a fighter she is a cartoonist and author of her memoirs Cancer Vixen where she tells her story on how she battled cancer without health insurance, this lady is a fighter. And now with her book becoming a movie (and she being portrayed by Cate Blanchett) I have to say she is badass!

Check out some pictures of the event below and see how do I look after Marisa drew me.
