For Miami Fashion Swim Week, I attended some of the Funkshion fashion shows. As a standard for any Miami event, they started you might say (using a high pitched voice) a little bit late, but all the shows I saw where worth it.
My Day 1, opening show was Liliana Montoya her runway was filled with beautiful models styled to look like mermaids, as what was her line inspired on, the bathing suits had golden and shiny sea tones mimicking warm tropical beaches, exactly what every girl needs to get in the summer mood.
On Day 2, I got a seat on the runway and saw Aqua Swim by Aqua Green this brand promotes sustainable swimsuits and cover-ups made from 100% recycled plastics fabric. The designs are a little more conservative than the craziness of South beach its more like the Hampton’s.
Day 3, Nikki Poulos and Make-a-Wish made two girls dreams come true of becoming models and walking on the runway. It was a very playful and fun show just like the clothing with vintage & funky inspired prints, the models where very lively throwing kisses at the cameras.
