Perfect Silhouette

Miami Fashion illustrator Gissi JimenezI have been thinking on outfits and dresses to wear, during the holidays. With New Years Eve coming up in the next few days. I have been wanting to wear a dress that is more form fitting and body-con like. After working out and eating right for a whole year (11 months to be exact). It is time for me to show-off my skinny mini body. Part of that also included to create the perfect silhouette for a dress and I used shapewear for that. For me using control undergarments is not so much for showing a flat tummy or a tiny waist.  But more of when on, having that dress look just perfect.  This means to show a smooth finish and not have to deal with weird underwear lines.

I had read, that actresses and artist wear shapewear all the time on the red carpet.  No matter their size. The thought behind that is the idea of creating a perfect silhouette from all angles when cameras are taking pictures. And since then, I have been using shapewear under my outfits for quite sometime, specially when going to special events. I feel that this type of underwear give me a boost of confidence.

A few of my favorite shapewear now

One of the newer brands to hit the shapewear industry is SKIMS from mogul Kim Kardashian. I love that she has created a line that includes different colors of tones. So it would match better with darker skintones like mine.  I got my pieces in color Sienna and Black. So if you are wearing a white or a really light color dress, it just blends in as a perfect nude tone and not show thru.
