I wanted to introduce you today to Home Chef . This is a Home food delivery service, that brings a box to your front door with pre-package meals. They include everything that you need to create a complete dish, sides and all. I love services like this one, because they simplify my life. I have a very busy lifestyle and I really don’t have that much time to dedicate to cook meals. More the less to go out shopping for groceries. The recipes are created by chefs and I can get a delicious gourmet home-cooked meal made from scratch.

When Verano hits and its time for a party, the best way to entertain your amigos, is with Sutter Home wine and yummy desserts. This time around I wanted to share a refreshing cocktail, made with red wine. This is my version of a Tinto de Verano, which is originally a Spanish drink, but has been adopted by many latin countries. This cocktail can be paired with any chocolate flavored dessert. For my party I did an assorted pick, like a flour-less chocolate cake, a raspberry chocolate cupcake, a chocolate tart ganache and a chocolate mousse trifle. Which I wanted to share a quick recipe on how to make it below. Both of these recipes are easy to make, so you don’t have to spend so much time in the kitchen and just enjoy with your family and amigos.
When it’s summer time, I think of colorful parties outside. And you know, I love doing a Gran Fiesta, so I am always trying out new recipes, to make my parties unique. This time, I want to talk a little bit about Sutter Home Family Vineyard wines, as they are the perfect wine to bring my friends together and enjoy a great time. Lately, I have been into crafty cocktails, they tend to be yummy and fancy looking, and they can be garnish with sweet frutas or fragant flores like I did here. So I wanted to share a recipe with you, of my version of a Girly Gimlet cocktail using Sutter Home Family Vineyard Wines.
With father’s day is coming up soon, I wanted to share some of the Father’s Day / Dad Gift Ideas ideas I am having for my daddy’s gift. If you ever get to meet me and my father, you will automatically know that many of my traits I get from him. He is a man of lifestyle and that loves pampering, just like me.
I have to say that the best moments of my life, have been the times I get to spend with my family and friends. Being latina (and a dominican), any sort of gathering will always include food, and lot’s of it! After our meal is done, we spend sometime chatting around the table, having a café and some dessert, while sharing our latest tales and stories.
I have a theory on buying the perfect gift for any occasion, it is just as simple on finding the defining personality trait of the person you are buying the gift for and adding an additional extra something to compliment it. For this valentine’s day I have some ideas you can pair up.
As any other women, I have been in the never ending search to have a hair-free body. I have tried different routes, shaving, waxing, I even tried one of those take a home DIY devices. I have tried everything. I have done laser hair removal in some areas of my body before, but nothing compares to the pleasant experience I had at Body Details.
I’m in a stage of my life that I seem to be working all the time, either in the architecture side of things or on the blog and my fashion illustrations. I may be exaggerating about working 24/7, but it feels that way sometimes.
The artist side of me is always pursuing being unique. I personally like that my artwork it’s my own and I get super happy when someone recognizes it. I love hearing when someone on the street says to me: “Oh! you are that girl on instagram that draws the lashes”, I do a little happy dance and get more motivation to keep on drawing.
And on my pursue to be different, and not like everybody else, I have gotten inspired by Motorola and their new limited edition of the Moto X Pure Edition designed by Jonathan Adler. The designs are unique and eye catching, not just your traditional white or gray phone. From the three limited edition designs, I am sure anyone can find a style that fits their lifestyle.
Personally, I like all three designs but my fave is the one with the bold circles, so naturally I used it as the main source of inspiration for the fashion illustration above.
Over the weekend, it was the iHeart radio Fiesta Latina concert, JCPenney invited me to an exclusive Glam Suite at the penthouse of the Delano, to get ready before the concert. I got to pick an outfit from Bisou Bisou and get all glammed up. My hair was done by a stylist from InStyle salon (I learned that there’s a location at Dadeland Mall inside the JCP store) and makeup by Sephora, all this courtesy of JCPenney.
At the suite, I got to meet Bisou Bisou’s designer Michele Bohbot, while browsing pieces of her collection. She is the sweetest. Had a few bites and refreshments while spending a very nice afternoon among blogger and media friends.
For my outfit, I picked faux leather panel leggings, with a black fringe cami and an oversized faux leather jacket cuffed up, I went up a few sizes to give it the borrow from a boyfriend look. See below to shop the look!
