#CapturaTuCultura with Sedano’s

This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Sedano’s and DiMe Media. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

Stuffed Plantain Tostones

I love to entertain family and friends, and each time I like to prepare dishes that reminds me of home. So for today’s post sponsored by Sedano’s Supermarkets, I wanted to share with you how you can #CapturaTuCultura with one of my favorite and easiest dishes to make for a get together. Shrimp Stuffed Plantain Tostones with Tomato, Cilantro, Garlic Sauce. It doesn’t get more Caribbean than pairing seafood (in this case shrimp) with earthy green plantains which makes this a truly Dominican dish to make.

2018 Goals

2018 Goals
At the end of each year, I reflect on the last twelve months in preparation to get ready for the new one. I started thinking of my 2018 goals, as I had a good last year. Some of the goals I had  listed got accomplished, some others morphed and changed. I got to work with some really cool brands like MazdaTory Burch and Cynthia Rowley. And did breakout of my comfort zone working on new mediums. (Check out the painted Adidas I made with Famous Footwear).

Every “X” amount of years, I go thru a growing phase, and 2017 for sure was one of those years. The things I learned personal and in business, has for sure shaped the things to come on 2018. I have worked into some ideas that hopefully these year will all come up to fruition soon.

And thank you for all my followers for being there for me, here is to 2018 starting!

Cirque du Soleil VOLTA & Tickets Giveaway

This post and giveaway is sponsored by Cirque du Soleil VOLTA.

Cirque du Soleil’s newest show VOLTA is rolling into Miami this week. On Friday, December 15th until February 4th, under the Big Top next to Hard Rock Stadium.  I love going to presentations and shows there is a certain magic to see the stage designs, wardrobes and special effects. In college I took a class for Scenography design class and that was one of the coolest classes I had. There is so much you can dream up and imagine to create a different world on a stage. Visual shows like Cirque du Soleil, feed my imagination on future artworks to come.

Cooking with Parmigiano Reggiano

One of my favorite things is cooking. I say that if I would ever leave architecture (and illustrating) I would become a chef. I consider myself a foodie and truly love making new dishes. Last week my friends from South Florida Bloggers invited me to attend a cooking class with Parmigiano Reggiano at the Biltmore Culinary Academy. Obviously having the chance of pretending to be a world class chef and cook in a real chef’s kitchen, I gladly attended.

Keep that Summer Glow

So now that Summer is over, it is time to start thinking on how to keep that Summer Glow going. Today, I’m sharing a few of my favorite beauty products, that I am currently using. To always look bronzed tanned and not ashy. I keep my routine for this very simple and just add a golden bronzer and coral tones blush to my face and cheeks, a little eyeshadow in earthy tones and some body makeup on my arms and legs. To tell you the truth, I was also using them thru out the summer months, as I can’t get sun tanned because I am currently doing lase hair removal sessions (more about that here).

Looking Refreshed with VIIcode

VII Code Oxygen Eye MaskThis post is in collaboration and sponsored by VIIcode.

You know, I am one of those people. The ones that works long nights and don’t slept enough. And you can see how that lack of rest shows up immediately, and I automatically turn into a raccoon. The skin under my eyes feels dry and turns purple-ish and small fine lines start showing up. To avoid looking like this, I am always trying out new products for my under eyes to make them look refreshed. In the past few weeks, I got to try out the VIIcode O2M Oxygen Eye Mask. These are a under the eye pads treatment masks.  You wear them overnight (you can have them on for 8 hours) while you sleep you just rejuvenate. Making it different from other sheet masks, that usually are just on for few minutes.

Portland, Maine

Portland, Maine TravelI took a quick 24 hour trip to Portland, Maine, to see a little snow and eat some yummy lobsters. I love the idea of being in a place for just a day, because you have to quickly move around and see as much as possible and visit the right places to feel the sense of the town or city that I am traveling to.

Organizing and Balancing my day

Organizing and Balancing my dayLately, I have been thru the ideas of how organizing and balancing my day. Splitting my time between my day job and fashion illustrating and adding to that fashion/lifestyle blogging. I work as an Architectural manager from 9 to 5 (which is more like from 7:30 to 7:30) which is a very demanding job, that I love. But with my passion project being fashion and lifestyle, I enjoy investing my remaining hours of the day to it.

DÔA Miami Beach

DÔA Miami Beach
DÔA Miami Beach, is the latest restaurant to open in Miami Beach from renowened restaurateur Arjun Waney. This is the guy behind Zuma and Coya (Two of my fave Miami restaurants). DÔA (pronounced dow-ah), serves a Latino/Asian (think Japanese meets peruvian) cuisine. It is a more casual and affordable version of his other restaurants and the food quality is up to par.

I had the chance to go do a media preview dinner of their menu. And try out South Florida native Chef Carlos Estarita’s food. He absolutely outdid himself and brought some of the flavors and ideas of his previous kitchen experience at Coya and Zuma, where he was a member of the opening team.

Be your own Home Chef

Home chef

I wanted to introduce you today to Home Chef . This is a Home food delivery service, that brings a box to your front door with pre-package meals. They include everything that you need to create a complete dish, sides and all. I love services like this one, because they simplify my life. I have a very busy lifestyle and I really don’t have that much time to dedicate to cook meals. More the less to go out shopping for groceries. The recipes are created by chefs and I can get a delicious gourmet home-cooked meal made from scratch.
