I have been working on a few commissioned fashion brands, which I can’t talk about until published, like this collaboration during Fashion month (week) with BOXYCHARM. I created three illustrations that debuted on their instagram account (@Boxycharm) one every friday of the month of September.
The theme was Runway Ready, showing my girls in the front row and living the lifestyle of the most coveted it girls in NYC.
Cirque du Soleil’s newest show Amaluna is rolling into Miami’s Sun Life Stadium on December 11th and will be showing all the way to dates in January. Nothing is more magical than getting into the world of theater and performances. I am particularly enchanted by the stage designs, wardrobes and special effects. I spent most of my kid life behind and on them doing ballet performances along with my twin sister. And in college I took a Scenography class and helped out on the design of a few small performances. I guess this can explain my delight to such visual shows like Cirque du Soleil.
Amaluna is a show that gives tribute to women where 70% of the performers and 100% of the band are ladies. The show sets place in a mysterious island governed by Goddesses and are guided by the cycles of the moon. I can’t wait to see how alluring this show will be.
The people from Cirque Du Soleil contacted me to run a giveaway of two sets of tickets for The Architect of Style readers. I will be giving out 2 sets of tickets for 2 winners.
I love sharing products that I like and what better way than with a giveaway!. During Swim Week I received many products from Fake Bake so I decided to giveaway one of their self-tanning kits to one lucky reader.
Fake Bake is an organically-based product with botanically extracted ingredients and contains no parabens or preservatives, their formula is streak-free and it’s really easy to use. I’ve used it on my legs and it gives them a golden glow, not a nasty orange tone like other self-tanners do.
The prize includes Fake Bake 60 minutes Self-Tan Liquid, Professional Mitt, Application Gloves, Fake Bake Sol Survivor SPF-30 Sun Block, Travel Size Fake Bake Self-Tan Lotion, Fake Bake Bronzer & bronzer brush.
Lately I had been coveting these motorcycle style Crusader boots from MIA and I really liked how they looked in the brown/tan color. I usually don’t buy brown shoes, they just don’t seem to fit in with what I wear, but I’m love all serve all. And you know I love shoes!
A few weeks ago Snapette was running a contest on the app along with MIA Shoes and and I entered. It just happened that I won and I could select any shoe I wanted. So clearly I picked these beautiful booties. I got them on the mail and I have to say they look even better in real life and they are so comfy. Now its all about how I would style them with things I own… so drawing came to mind and this is what I came up with.
Also remember I am to sign up for the Fashionary Sketchbook giveaway I’m having along with Shop des Créateurs (instructions here). We are selecting a winner next on Dec 4th.
As you know I love drawing my outfits and the people from Shop des Créateurs an online boutique that supports emerging designers from around the world, have noticed. They have offer to giveaway to one lucky reader a Fashionary A5 Woman Sketchbook in black, so you can draw like me!
It doesn’t matter if you are not a natural born artist with the templates that this sketchbook provides anyone can become a great fashion illustrator.
