I am trying to recap on the blog some of the events and brand work, I have been doing lately. A few weeks back, I got the opportunity to be Live Drawing at Kendra Scott newest store at Brickell City Center. Typically I do a lot of events, where I am fashion illustrating and sketching, but you only see a little bit of it, if you follow me on my instagram (@GissiJ), but I never take enough pictures to post (because I get so concentrated drawing), so I am starting to change that and share a little more.
I think I haven’t seen a magic show since I was a kid. I like the idea of illusions and such, so I was delighted when I was invited to the Faena Theater to see Kevin & Caruso’s Magique. This is a show for all ages, and trust me I went in thinking this was going to be a few magic card tricks that I could figure out, but I have to say it was a very surprising night.
I am finishing up the holidays and celebrating with Macy’s Three Kings Day, on January 6th, for an afternoon of shopping and fun for the whole family. I will be live drawing at Macy’s Westland Mall in Miami. Where I will be creating personalized and unique illustrations with the Three Kings. Also enjoy live music, arts and crafts, and more.
See more details below and I hope to get to see some of you this weekend!
I love working on collaborations with Macy’s, this time around get ready to do your holiday shopping this weekend at Macy’s at Miami International Mall, where I will be live drawing in store creating some unique and personalized holidays greeting cards, for their Art of Gifting event. I’m super excited to share with you my latest collaboration with the jewelry brand Pandora. How cute is this personalized jewelry box, I created for them, it brings out the essence of that queen, that is inside of us. So check out this upcoming weekend, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of November, I will be in-store at the Aventura Mall, personalizing and customizing these really cute light pink leather jewelry boxes.
These boxes will be one of a kind hand painted by me, so make sure to come over and get your own customized one, while you sip bubbly and shop some really nice jewelry and get to see me paint and sketch. See more details below and I hope to get to see some of you this weekend!
Today’s post is a little different, I wanted to show the outfit I wore to a influencer event with the Miami Children’s Health Foundation, last week, that my blogger girl Kelly Saks and the MCHF hosted. But I decided not to talk so much about the clothes I was wearing, but more about the Miami Children’s Health Foundation and how the foundation raises funds to benefit the children cared at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and how you can show support for them, just by sharing in social media.
The dinner was held at the River Yacht Club and thru out the night we got to hear a little more about the foundation and how it has help so many children and their medical needs. Yesterday May 16th, the foundation launched a special social media campaign called #2gether4thechildren, that lets you add a heart shaped design filter to your facebook profile picture, designed by Romero Britto.
I got to meet designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka, in store at Saks Fifth Avenue Dadeland a few weeks, I had a chance to get a five minute one on one with the designers and talk about their Spring 2016 collection, and about “bar” shoes.
GJ: Looking at your beautiful Spring 2016 collection, and I’ve noticed that it is more tone down and with classic shapes, where are you heading with that?
I love being crafty and this Sunday January 31st, I will be at the Victoria’s Secret store at Dadeland Mall in Miami from 6-8pm, doing some personalized undies just in time for Valentine’s day! So come by, shop and let’s do some DIY and get ready for Valentines day with Victoria’s Secret for the Love Me More event.
There will be 6 stores nationwide having this exclusive event more info here.
And if you are in the Orlando area, check out my girl Kara Ashley blog on where she will be getting crafty at a Victoria’s Secret up north.
Over the weekend, it was the iHeart radio Fiesta Latina concert, JCPenney invited me to an exclusive Glam Suite at the penthouse of the Delano, to get ready before the concert. I got to pick an outfit from Bisou Bisou and get all glammed up. My hair was done by a stylist from InStyle salon (I learned that there’s a location at Dadeland Mall inside the JCP store) and makeup by Sephora, all this courtesy of JCPenney.
At the suite, I got to meet Bisou Bisou’s designer Michele Bohbot, while browsing pieces of her collection. She is the sweetest. Had a few bites and refreshments while spending a very nice afternoon among blogger and media friends.
For my outfit, I picked faux leather panel leggings, with a black fringe cami and an oversized faux leather jacket cuffed up, I went up a few sizes to give it the borrow from a boyfriend look. See below to shop the look!
