The Architect of Style turns Six!

This week is The Architect of Style, Sixth year anniversary, I can’t believe so much time has passed by. Although, I am a part-time blogger (that feels more like it is full-time). I have been very fortunate to collaborate and work drawing for many big fashion and lifestyle brands like Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Cynthia Rowley, Adidas, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Mazda… so many that it would be impossible to list them all.

This blog started as an outlet for my creativity.  I switched from an architectural creative job to work on corporate America. Still working in an architectural field, but in a more managerial position. Looking to do something extra that would exercise my visual passion. First I started posting pictures of outfits and personal style, and covering local fashion events. Then went onto introducing my fashion illustrations, as ideas of outfits to wear for certain occasions.

The fashion illustrations themselves also evolved, and from dashed/broken lines, came a more minimal style that included my signature eyelashes. And from simple paper drawings, my fashion illustrations have become complex overlays, that still look simple. Turning real life pictures into an animated whimsical wonderland that reflects my musings. I am pretty sure that in the future, we will morph more, as this is how one grows up and matures. And whatever is next will be really cool!

Thru this blog, I have met a fantastic community of fellow Miami Fashion and Lifestyle bloggers, that I am lucky enough to call friends.  I am very happy and humbled by my followers that show up to my live drawing events and I truly appreciate all the support.

PS.: These days most of my pictures are self taken, using a tripod and remote trigger. Also for this post I am trying a new way of editing with a more golden and muted tones. Let me know what you think!
