Of BB Creams and such

For a quick make-up routine

A couple of weeks ago one of my friends gave me a L’Oreal Youth Code BB Cream that she had bought in a shade to dark for her. At first I was a little skeptical of using this product and changing my daily make-up routine. So I did what any self respectable blogger does I went on Google and did some research online. I found out about all the miraculous attributes that BB Creams has and I decided to give it a try.

My daily routine using this product goes like this: Wash face, pat dry, tone skin, apply concealer (dark circles), BB cream, blush, eyeliner lips and mascara. I have skipped wearing sun protector and moisturizer as the BB Cream is +SPF 25 and it has antioxidants and moisturizing as part of the formula. The consistency is creamy and light, not oily.

I tried applying loose powder over the BB cream but it seems to dry it out to much and it looks cakey. Also I found that powder is not needed as the cream covers well and looks natural and glowy.

As for color, I have been wearing a custom made foundation since I was 14 years old. My skin has olive/yellowish undertones so it is very hard to find a product that doesn’t look to ashy or to pink and the Medium Shade of this BB Cream blended perfectly with my face.

Two weeks later I have noted that my bare face looks more even, my oily skin hasn’t broken out and old pimple marks have been diminished. I would definitely keep this regimen for my weekdays when all I have is time for a quick make-up and I’ll probably still use my regular foundation for photoshoots and events where more makeup is needed.
